Young people told us they didn’t always know the difference between a hate crime and hate incident.

All our members agreed that if they didn’t know what to do, who to tell or how to report a hate incident or hate crime, other young people wouldn’t know either.

Curriculum for Life

Last year over 142,000 young people voted the need to have a Curriculum for Life as the most important issue for them. This means that, young people are saying that the education system needs to do a lot more to prepare them for life after school and college!

Make Your Mark 2016

Every year the United Kingdom Youth Parliament (UKYP) holds a UK-wide ballot called ‘Make Your Mark’, where all young people, aged 11 – 18, can vote on what they feel is important in their lives and what they think Members of the Youth Parliament should campaign on for the year ahead.
